Den Meetings:

The term "Den" refers to grade level.  First grade boys are members of the Tiger den, second graders are in Wolf den, third graders are Bears, and fourth and fifth graders are known as Webelos I & II respectively.  Dens typically meet once a month.  Usually, parents rotate as "hosts" for den meetings, with the den leader coordinating.  Meetings do not necessarily happen in the home, often dens choose a theme that allows them to tour local museums and places such as the town Police Station.

Pack Meetings:

These are meetings of all scouts together and are typically held  once a month on a Wednesday evening, 6:30-8pm, at the Wellesley Community Center, 219 Washington Street, which is Route 16.  The Community Center is located near the intersection of Rts 16 and  9.

We seek an atmosphere that is lively and fun, but reinforces good scout listening skills.  Each meeting has a theme with a demonstration and where possible, hands-on-activities. Past themes include scientific experiments, live animal demonstations (ex. rescued birds of prey), and service projects such as preparing packages for senior veterans living in the local VA hospital.  Suggestions are welcome, please email the cubmaster at This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it .

Special Annual Events:

  •  Pinewood Derby: Scouts design, build, and race their own pinewood cars using kits provided by the pack.
  • Blue & Gold Dinner: Celebrates the promotion of all cub scouts to the next level.  At this dinner the Arrow of Light ceremony promotes Welebos II scouts to Boy Scouts, marking a major rite of passage.
